by Lauren Brown from OK magazine

For fans of Revenge, I think we all can agree that there’s only so much more that Jack Porter can put up with before just losing it. Can you blame the guy?

Warning, spoilers ahead: Jack’s childhood love Amanda Clarke returned, they had a baby, got married—and then she was tragically murdered on their honeymoon. As awful as all that sounds, it gets worse. Yes, because the Amanda he married is not the Amanda from his childhood. That would be Emily Thorne who asked her friend “Amanda” from her juvenile hall days to assume her identity while Emily went on her revenge spree.

Confused? Me too (and I watch the show). But take the complicated plot line out of it and one thing is for sure—we all want sensitive, kind Jack to wake up, discover the truth and be happy. And maybe get a little angry about how everyone took advantage of him too. And maybe be with the real Amanda? Or is it too late? Well, when I got a few minutes alone with Nick Wechsler who plays Jack, I cornered him to find out what he thinks Jack should do next and what he thinks about being in the middle of one of the most heartbreaking love triangles ever!

OK!: Let’s just cut to the big question. What is Jack going to do when he finds out the truth about Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne?

Nick Wechsler: I don’t know, the stakes go up all the time. The more sh** that goes wrong in his life, or the more heartbreak can be traced back to Emily or her involvement or her lie I think the harder it is for Emily to tell him the truth. I think that Amanda never said it because she was just like, ‘I want this life, I just want this normal f**king life.’ I was a f**king stripper and lived this life and Jack is a good guy who will treat you right. ‘

OK!: Even with Amanda gone now, it seems like fans were really starting to root for her. What do you think?

NW: I’ve actually had fans approach me and say at first I hated her but everyone hated her because she was just an obstacle. Then she was made into a more sympathetic character on the show. She killed a guy to protect Emily. Amanda was fiercely and violently loyal to Emily while trying to protect Jack.

OK!: Do you want Jack to go to a darker place now?

NW: I would like to see him be hurt and angry and violent. I don’t mean like beating people up. I wouldn’t care if that happened too. I know that they like to keep Jack pure and good and that’s totally legit and I completely understand and I don’t disagree with them. But I don’t think that it contradicts the purpose of this show or his purpose on the show to have him go dark because I think that ups the stakes for Emily’s guilt, like, ‘Now how can I tell him the truth?’ Jack is the guy Emily’s been holding a torch for for so long. It’s a great example of how innocent people get wrapped up in their lies. You have to keep lying and lying and lying to cover that lie and then you start hurting people along the way. If it gets to some point in the return, how does she get out and redeem herself?

OK!: Have there been moments where you’ve been like, ‘Really, Jack?’

NW: Yes but I’ve justified it by saying, ‘Look, he’s so good and trusting that he doesn’t expect bad from other people.’ But I think at a certain point if you don’t start catching on, the audience is going to start feeling bad for your character. They’re going to go, ‘Well, he’s an idiot.’

OK!: Are you like Jack at all? Or would you have caught on sooner?

NW: I would catch on sooner but I’m also a different guy. I’m much more cynical. I don’t always expect good from people. I always expect the bad and I am pleasantly surprised when they are nice. I would have left sooner out of respect for myself. I was in a relationship that I knew from three months in that it was ending and I stayed for an additional six months. I wouldn’t do it now.

OK!: Why not?

NW: I was younger and more naive and I was desperately trying to do something that I know wouldn’t work now, which was trying to fix her. But maybe Jack would have an easier time letting go of somebody else who hadn’t broken his heart.

by Meg Masters @ TV Line

Quick, someone make Revenge‘s Emily a t-shirt that reads, “I saved my soulmate from a gun-toting psycho on a boat and all I got was his lousy attitude!”

As evidenced in our recent sneak peek at tonight’s episode of the ABC drama (9/8c), Jack is deep in the throes of grief after losing Amanda, and, per his portrayer Nick Wechsler, he’ll be taking at least some of that out on the woman he once loved most.

“Jack’s just freshly devastated, [so] it’s too soon for [he and Emily] to be together,” he says. Complicating things even further, he’ll soon “learn some stuff that makes him not trust [her]” — and she’s not the only one.

“Things are strained between Nolan and Jack a little bit, too,” the actor adds. “You’ll see why in this next episode. It’s partly because Jack’s all f–ked up, and partly because sometimes you push people away when you lose someone that significant — or at least you’re more fragile and more likely to tell someone to f–k off.”

That said, Wechsler reveals that “some stuff does come out that makes him distrustful of Nolan, [as well as] Emily.”

Referencing co-star Gabriel Mann‘s previous tease that we’ll now be seeing a “smarter, meaner, revenge-y Jack Porter,” Wechsler elaborates, “Just as you would imagine, he’s heartbroken. The thing that is driving Emily’s revenge is her broken heart; she was robbed of her father, of her childhood, of her innocence. Jack was naïve and innocent for so long and then they took his wife. Now he’s got that heartbreak driving his revenge engine as well.”

As polarizing as Revenge‘s second season has been, Wechsler assures that there’s “some really exciting stuff coming up” in the year’s final batch of episodes — “and I’m not saying that the other stuff wasn’t exciting. But if it wasn’t for some people, they’re going to like what we’ve got coming.” (With reporting by Vlada Gelman)

‘Revenge’ star Nick Wechsler teases future Emily-Jack romance

By Rachel Sprague at 6:30 pm, January 15, 2013 – @rachel_sprague

Though they haven’t had much of a chance to build a relationship so far on Revenge, it looks like there may be a future romance between Emily and Jack.

Nick Wechsler, who plays Jack Porter on Revenge, hinted to Entertainment Weekly that there might be a chance for Jack and Emily to get together in the future. That’s pretty complicated, considering that Jack is engaged to Amanda and appears to be a happy father, but maybe he’ll be devastated to the point of a break up when he finally learns the truth of Amanda’s identity.

Last season on Revenge, we got a little hint of the Jack and Emily romance, which has been coveted by the two of them since childhood (even though Jack thinks he’s currently dating his childhood sweetheart). Wechsler thinks that the Emily-Jack romance is one of the main drives of the show.

“I think that’s what she and I are supposed to have…a [relationship] where circumstances are such where we can’t be together now. But I think we’re meant to always root for them. I think the fates may conspire to give them opportunity again.”

Perhaps they will, but Emily will have to work her way out of two relationships to get there. Now that Emily is pretending to fall for Daniel again, and her real relationship with Aiden is getting shaky, Emily’s love life is anything but simple.

Wechsler jokingly notes that he’s not sure when the opportunity will present itself for Emily and Jack, and it will probably just get more complicated before it gets clearer.

“That’s my guess, but who the hell knows? It could always go some other way. She could always find a fourth guy.”

by Jared Wieselman at The Insider

Is Jack Amanda’s baby daddy? That was one of the biggest questions looming over the second season of Revenge and in last week’s episode fans were given the answer. So was Jack. Although given his grimace, I wouldn’t expect to see him firing up a cigar any time soon.

To find out what you can expect to see from Jack in the weeks to come, I caught up with Revenge star Nick Wechsler and found out that while the character isn’t too pleased about this paternity revelation, the actor is elated.

TheInsider.com: Very intriguing season for Jack so far, what have you liked?
Nick Wechsler: One of my favorite details is that we learned the paternity of the baby! It’s such a bold move on the [writers] part. I love that I don’t know exactly how they’re going to get around it but it’s such a good decision.

Insider.com: As a viewer I got the sense that Jack didn’t want the baby to be his. What was your impression?
Nick: Look, this girl just decimated his heart a few times and just ruined his trust in her. He finally got to a place where he could wrap his brain around letting go of this girl that he thinks is the girl that he named his boat after and has been carrying a torch for ever since. He finally was able to let that go, and I think that was best for him. But now that she’s back, I think he feels like that’s like “F*ck you for coming back under these circumstances!” You only took my calls when you needed something and now you’re coming back this late in the game pregnant when you need someone to take care of it? That’s offensive. But Jack’s so decent and loyal, so he’s trying to silence the part of his mind that is screaming. I think he was hoping that it wouldn’t be [his kid] so he could be with [Emily] this girl who he has a huge connection with that he can’t explain. We kissed once, it was amazing, and now I have to go back to pretending I don’t have these feelings for her.

Picking up after a jaw-dropping finale featuring a pill overdose, a plane crash and a back-from-the-dead parent is no easy task, but it’s one Revenge boss Mike Kelley was more than happy to take on with this Sunday’s Season 2 premiere (ABC, 9/8c) — and beyond!

TVLINE | How prominent can Amanda — and her baby — be featured this season with Margarita Levieva only signed to return for a handful of episodes? Are you confident in saying that she’s pretty solidly woven into the landscape of the series at this point? She is woven into the landscape of the show and into Emily’s history. We really like the turmoil and uncertainty that she brings to Emily’s plans. We also like how her presence keeps pushing and pulling Jack around Emily. That baby is real and that baby is coming. In the first run of four episodes, we’ll know what that family is going to look like with Jack and Amanda.

TVLINE | Does their love triangle continue in the new season, regardless of the rest of the insanity going on in their respective lives? It’s a triangle still. [Laughs] This pregnancy has really made Amanda think about a future and think about a family — things she’s never had. We’ll learn more about who the character we call Amanda Clark really was when she met Emily in prison, her home life and her parents and what she’s trying to triumph over in putting a family together with Jack. Then there’s the reality — the one Emily knows — which is that Amanda’s a murderer and is not who she says she is. So, there are feelings that Emily continues to have for Jack, but there’s a larger story going on. In terms of finding her mother, she needs to protect all sides right now, and that includes Amanda and her secrets.

If you don’t know who our latest Guy Candy is you are missing out on the coolest, most gripping series to hit SA screens in… forever. Set in the Hamptons, where everyone is young, rich and beautiful, the very first episode of Revenge will have you hooked, and gagging for more – and not least of all because of gorgeous Nick Wechsler who plays good guy and love interest, Jack Porter.

The fifth of eight boys (whoa!), Samuel Nicholas Wechsler moved to Hollywood soon after graduating from high school in New Mexico where he spent nine months trying to get a break before landing a small role in made-for-TV movie, Full Circle. Shortly after that, Trekkies might remember him as Kevin ‘Trek’ Sanders, a child prodigy conceived at a Star Trek convention. He also appeared in Silk Stalkings, Roswell, Malcolm in the Middle and feature film, The Perfect Game.

Keep this Thursday night free and catch Nick in Revenge on M-Net at 7.30pm. You won’t want to miss it.

Revenge is back on ABC for its second season on September 30, and fans have been waiting all summer to find out what happens next after the potential deaths, surprise pregnancy, and reveal about Emily’s mother. The latest news out addresses two of those three matters.

Season 2 Spoilers

According to TVLine, showrunner Mike Kelly has said, “That baby is real and that baby is coming. After the first run of four episodes, we’ll know what that family is going to look like, with Jack and Amanda.” Amanda couldn’t have reappeared at a worst time. Emily was just about to tell Jack everything when—surprise!—Amanda revealed she was back and pregnant. She had been gone for some time, so it is always possible it isn’t Jack’s baby. But will Emily be too busy dealing with the fact that her mother is—surprise again!—alive to give the Amanda and Jack situation the attention she needs to. Is the baby Jack’s? Will the first four episodes show Jack and Amanda in a solid relationship, or could something come out during those episodes that changes things and leaves it open for Jack and Emily to get together?

Kelly also teased, “You’ll have all of your answers about what happened the night of the plane crash and who’s dead—and why—in the first two episodes” of Revenge season 2. The person everyone’s wondering about is Victoria. Hopefully viewers don’t have to wait until episode 2 to find out her fate, though they could always have the premiere make it seem like she’s dead, only for her to pop up in the second episode, alive.
What do you think of the latest Revenge season 2 spoilers?

Revenge’s Nick Wechsler Looks Exhausted on Season 2 Set: Is Fatherhood Getting to Jack Porter?

As Amanda Clarke’s belly of doom rounded the corner of the Stowaway’s bar, Jack Porter looked about as trapped as Emily Thorne on a wooden post.

This papa-to-be has his plate full these days, trying to keep his baby mama from constantly skipping town and researching effective paternity tests.

The stress of these new burdens is clearly getting to portrayer Nick Wechsler — or at least it seems to be from this new photo. Earlier today, Gabriel Mann (Nolan Ross) tweeted this pic of Nick looking pretty pooped.

“#NickWechsler before his morning cup o joe. Stowaway indeed,” he tweeted.

Nick is wearing Jack’s signature flannel paired with jeans, but his stylish shoes may have been courtesy of his rich, tech genius bestie. This on-set pic comes just 24 days before the Sept. 30 premiere.

Hopefully we’ll learn Jack’s paternity fate soon, but for now, we hear Amanda plans on throwing a stripperific baby shower in Episode 4, “Intuition.”

Yikes! Maybe the Stowaway should install a pole for the “enthusiastic” baby mama? Just another thing to add to Jack’s to-do list.

Do you think Jack is the father of Amanda’s baby? Tell us below
