Lie to Me is now FLING
Comments Off Hi everybody!!!
First things first: “Lie to Me” is now officially titled “Fling” and we are really excited about it! This title captures the sexy, energetic feel of the film and also doesn’t have to compete with a new Fox TV show about human lie detectors starring Tim Roth (also called “Lie to Me”… thanks Brian Grazer!!!). So it’s either keep the title and be completely lost in the shadow of this show, or make sure the film stands alone. We want to give our movie the best fighting chance which is why we’ve chosen to change the name. If you’re not sure about the new title, check out the dictionary definition of “Fling” (both as a noun and a verb)… it’s perfect! If you don’t believe us, watch the updated trailer!

Hey everyone - great podcast featuring John Stewart Muller director/producer and Laura Boersma writer/producer of Lie to Me. The podcast is almost an hour long and talks mostly about the movie and Brandon Routh, but they have some fantastic things to say about Nick. You can find the podcast here.

I saw Lie to Me at the Newport Beach Film Festival. The film was about the complicated relationships between 20-something professionals. The dialogue and situations were very true to life. Courtney Ford and Steve Sandvoss play the leads and were excellent. I had never seen Ford or Sandvoss perform before and I was quite impressed. Brandon Routh, best known for playing the lead in Superman Returns, had a slightly smaller role but was also quite good. The supporting cast, which included Nick Wechsler and Shoshana Bush, lent fine support. I would highly recommend this film firstly because it’s good and second in case you’re a fan of any of these up-and-coming actors.

We opened at the 600 seat Regency Lido Theater last Saturday to a completely packed house and everyone had a wonderful time. Tickets are now available for the April 26 world premiere of “Lie to Me” at the 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival.
You can purchase them for $11.00 here
Also, Urban Decay Cosmetics will be handing out a limited number of gift bags to the first people in line for the world premiere of “Lie to Me”.
One more thing… The Official “Lie to Me” World Premiere After-Party will be at Sutra following the screening.

Big news on the film! Lie to Me is finally premiering at the 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival as the Saturday Night Headliner on April 26 at 6pm at the beautiful Lido Theatre! This is our first chance to show the film to the world and we can’t wait! So far it’s looking like the entire cast and many members of the crew will be there! We’re so proud of the film and everyone involved. It’s such a labor of love and we hope people enjoy the movie!
