HOPE FOR EMILY AND JACK? Though Wechsler admitted that no, there is nothing Emily and Jack say to each other in the season premiere to give shippers that little nugget they may need to hold onto the idea of the couple together, there is a subtext in the lingering looks and overarching point of their story that comes through:
“I don’t understand how you watch the show and don’t [root for Jack and Emily],” Wechsler was candid. “I feel like Josh’s character Daniel is actually a good guy– it’s just his upbringing and everything—so it’s nothing against his character, but it’s just the way it’s designed. Jack’s designed—that relationship is a Ross and Rachel thing.”
